YEAR 6 READING GLADIATORS’ SUCCESS!!

After reading LINE OF FIRE, the illustrated diary of an unknown soldier from World War 1, our year 6 Reading Gladiators decided to try to replicate the illustrations – with powerful results!

We are delighted to announce that their artwork made them joint winners, with two other schools, for the Just Imagine mini-challenge for December! This is particularly noteworthy as they were pitted against year 6 children in schools all over the whole country. Their prize was an interesting selection of graphic novels that our Reading Gladiators will now review for their peers. Meanwhile, a display of their evocative artwork is on our library wall – so don’t forget to visit with your children to celebrate their achievement!
