A new orchard at Orchard Campus

Orchard campus now have their very own Orchard on the school grounds

We would like to say a big thank you to the One Tree per Child programme for donating and helping plant some Pear and Apple trees. Our new orchard can be found behind the school playground on the grass by the large tree. Every class at Orchard campus took part in planting 20 trees in total. Then the children decided on a name for each tree they had planted. This year the trees will flower with little fruits and then next year we will hopefully be picking our own fruits to eat.

This wouldn’t have been possible without Charlie and Chris Westcott’s organisation, enthusiasm and support, so many thanks to them and also to Holly Paton and her team of volunteers from the One Tree per Child programme and everyone else who helped.
