Today is World Book Day, which aims to encourage children to explore the pleasure of books and reading. To celebrate the day, the children and staff dressed up as characters from well known books and brought favourite books into School to share.

We are holding a book sale after school today and Friday, from 3:00 to 3:30pm, to which parents / carers are invited. Each child will also be given a £1 book voucher, which they can swap for a free book at various retailers. See www.worldbookday.com for more information.

Parents, grandparents and carers joined us at storytime in the children’s classroom.

The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we were very impressed by some of the marvellous costumes worn!
