From 3 pm on Wednesday 18th July a practice nurse from Horfield Health Centre will be in the Lockleaze Road playground to provide information about Measles and the MMR vaccine.
We will support parents and carers who wish their child/ren to take part in the vaccination programme being run by the Health Centre.
We hope to see you at the FFA Summer Fair, this Saturday 23rd June 1pm- 3pm at Lockleaze Road. This will be a fun event with stalls, a bouncy castle, games, tombola, face painting, cakes and the new dinning hall will be open and offering tasting samples from our new caterers. All are welcome!
We have now arranged the dates for the meetings for parents and carers of the children joining us in Reception in September 2018. The dates are :
|Orchard Campus:||Wednesday, 20th June 2018, at 7 pm|
|Lockleaze Road:||Wednesday, 27th June 2018, at 7 pm|
These meetings will give you the opportunity to meet the staff, visit the classrooms and learn more about your child’s start at school. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Invitations will be sent out next week.
This week in school our pupils have been exploring E-Safety and some of the issues around staying safe when using technology and the internet. This included some excellent assemblies and workshops provided by our colleagues at Unique Voice.
We know that E-Safety is a cause for concern for many of our Parents and Carers so have attached a copy of the presentation on the topic delivered by Mrs McCorry at the Community Partnership meeting. The NSPCC Net Aware website is also a great tool and allows you to review the suggested minimum and, function and security of a site, app or game to help you support your children in staying safe online.
As part of our support for Safer Internet Day we are running two E- Safety events for parents and carers at:
Orchard Campus on Friday 2nd February between 8.30 – 10.00 AM
Lockleaze Road on Tuesday 6th February between 3.00 – 4.30 PM
Come along to learn about how you can support your child.
We would like to invite you to join our Harvest Festival celebration assemblies on Tuesday 10th October at the following times:
- Orchard Campus – 9.30 AM in the School Hall
- Lockleaze Road Years 1,2 & 3 – 9.10 AM in the Phase 1 Hall
- Lockleaze Road Years 4,5 & 6 – 10.45 AM in the Phase 1 Hall
We will be collecting goods donations. Please bring these in to school, non-perishable goods can be brought in at anytime but please only bring perishable donations on Tuesday 10th October. There will be a sale of fresh goods such as bread, fruits and cakes at 3.15PM on both sites.
We will pass the non-perishable goods to the North Bristol Food bank and the proceeds of the sale will go to Save the Children.
