Filton Avenue Infant School Celebrates World Book Day
Posted on 1st March 2012 | EventsOn 1st March, all children were given a £1 book voucher to exchange at a bookshop for a free World Book Day Book or get £1 off a book priced at £2.99 or more.
World Book Day aims to encourage children to explore the pleasure of books and reading. To celebrate the day, the children and staff dressed up as characters from well known books and brought favourite books into School to share.
Parents, grandparents and carers joined us at storytime in the children’s classrooms.
The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we were very impressed by some of the marvellous costumes worn!
