Ofsted has identified the best-performing schools in poor areas

Ofsted finds evidence of great schools in challenging areas. This year, 85 schools serving pupils from the most deprived families were judged outstanding.

‘A school serving the most deprived children in the country is four times more likely to be judged inadequate by school inspectors than one serving children from the wealthiest homes, Ofsted finds in its annual report.’ Read the full report.
