Remote Learning
Remote Learning at Filton Avenue
A remote learning plan outlines how your child will continue their learning if they cannot attend school in person. It is designed to be clear, manageable, and closely linked to what children learn in school to make sure learning continues as smoothly as possible and that children feel supported, confident, and connected to their class, even when they are learning from home.
It is for:
-Children who are well enough to learn but need to stay at home, for example due to illness or other absence
-Situations where a whole class, year group, or the school may need to learn from home for a short time
The plan sets out:
-What learning will be provided and how it links to what is taught in school
-How children can send work back to their teacher and how teachers will support and check learning
What You Can Expect:
-Learning will be shared through Class Dojo or in person
-Activities will follow the same curriculum as in-school lessons wherever possible/appropriate
-Teachers will check children’s work and give feedback to help them improve.
Access, Inclusion and Safety
-We understand that every family’s situation is different. If access to a device or resources is difficult, please let us know so we can help. Remote learning will be adapted where needed to best meet the needs of the child at that particular time, and remote learning will be adapted for pupils with SEND.
-Children’s safety and wellbeing remain a priority during remote learning. We ask parents and pupils to follow our online safety guidance at home.
Keeping in Touch
-If you have any questions about remote learning or need support, please contact your child’s class teacher — we are always happy to help.
